DISCIPLINE SYSTEM

SCHOOL“Discipline Challenge”

– The CLASS is awarded a mark for BEHAVIOUR out of 10 each week.  If by the end of the term the class is above 7, then the WHOLE CLASS gets a reward.

SCHOOLMerit System – Learners accumulate merits for anything from good behaviour and attitude, to effort made with schoolwork and homework. Once they have filled a whole Merit Sheet, they earn the relevant merit badge. Through the year learners have the opportunity of earning up to 5 different merit badges, ranging from Green, White, Red, Silver and Gold.  Learners receiving the silver and gold merit badges, will also receive certificate. The Diamond Merit Badge Award is the highest merit badge achievement and is only given out at Prizegiving.  Children who receive this award, get to keep this badge. Our merit system is continuous, and learners accumulate merits for the whole year.

SCHOOLDe-Merit System – Learners accumulate De-merits for anything from bad behavior to incomplete homework or schoolwork.  Unlike the merit system, De-merits are accumulated termly, thus giving the learners the opportunity to a fresh start each new term.

CLASS  –  At the start of each year, class educators and learners establish, by agreement, classroom rules. Rewards and penalties are also agreed upon.

GOOD WORK – Gold stars, stickers, certificates and prizes operate as rewards.
